Love comes in a long way

I am so perplexed by what is happening around me these days. There isn't joy in me when i am serving at certain point, it becomes a burden, some extra baggage i have to carry during this spiritual race. Sometimes, it becomes a hope that i want to drop everything i have and run my own race.

Love, this word has great power. With actions, it is dangerous to the devil, as it can changes someone to turn away from their wicked ways. A lot of time, i find that i am not really stretched in accomplishing God's will for me in my life. But, when God do stretch me a little, i feel pain in me. Just like when doing stretching exercise, your goal is to use your hand to touch your toe, you ain't that flexible but God is just someone who will push you bit by bit, so that you reach your goal.

Treasured Memories

Today, as i am talking to Chris for very long on the phone. I realized that we have not been doing life together, in fact as a whole caregroup. At times, i felt that the caregroup is breaking apart. Not to play the blame game here, but caregroup meeting seems to be a chore, rather than a lifestyle.

I am talking to Guan Quan on msn. I recalled the day when he comes to know God. Even for someone as quiet as him, God's love is so irresistible to him that he initiates to want to come to know God. It brings me back to think that, i appreciated him a lot. He is an apple of God's eye.

I want to treasure people in my group, spur them to do things just like a family. Not some routine mundane stuffs again.

Greatest Love Of All

First of all.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

All of a sudden, why do i post this verse?

The reason is very simple.

We need to dare to love people. We can't express our love by hiding it away. Today, as i was reading the bible and one book, by John C Maxwell. It teaches me about the perfect example of love that God has shown on the cross, the compassion that God shows to Noah, when the creation of mankind grieves Him.

John 15:12-13
12My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Ask ourselves this question. Did God love us by hiding it away? Didn't He express out His love? We can argue that this is how Asian parents show their love to children. My parents use deeds instead of words to love me. Yeah, it is great, we can't say we love but has no action to support it. Many Asian kids take a long time to feel loved by their parents because of their conservative speech. I am not condemning but how great it can be when we can say we love and we have deeds to back it up. Just like how Jesus, has told the disciples that He has loved them, and die on the cross as an action to back it up.

So ultimately, to my belief, the greatest love of all is you say it, and you do it!
