I realize it is so important to be a servant leader.
In the world, people want people to serve them the higher they go.
In God's kingdom, people need to serve others the higher they go.
Can see it clearly from Mark 10:44-45
Being a shepherd is to love. Being a careleader, is to CARE AND LEAD!
Sometimes, i wonder whether i can be a leader. I am still so spiritually young. I have only been in Christ for one year. However, God knocks me awake. He tells me that spiritually young doesn't mean spiritually immature. From there, i realize that though i still have a lot of things to learn, it doesn't mean that i cannot impart, as long as what i am going to teach is from the Bible.
I just attended the leadership camp. Even though, i missed quite a lot due to my work, i am very willing to learn everywhere. A leader doesn't necessary mean that you need to graduate from the camp to become one. He is someone that is so sure of God's calling that no matter what, he will make sure he rises up as a leader.
Before the camp, i wonder, will i be secure if Andrew didn't pick me to go for the leadership camp? But, now, i can say for sure, "Yes, i am called to be a leader!" It is the vision for God that drives me on to leadership and not the camp!
I come to admire some leaders. Really want to take this chance to affirm them. Hehe.
Hui Mei - Learn from her that as much as we manifest gentleness as fruits of the spirit, we need to make sure we are firm in the message that we convey to our people, so that they may be convicted!
Leslie - Learn from him that we should embrace the Word of God more than anything else. It is a lamp to our feets. It provides us directions in life.
Andrew - Learn from him to be serious in the things we do, planning is necessary!
Ming Xiu - Learn from her to be flexible in our plans. To analyse situation before we make decisions
Li Yan - Learn from her to be effective in the way we convey our message
These are leaders i aspire to be! I want love the Word of God like Leslie, sensitive to the Holy Spirit like Hui Mei and be as humble as my shepherd Andrew! I want to be an effective leader, who loves the people like himself and put into actions all the things he say! I want to serve!
