Short life

Just watch American Idol on youtube. I am missing Melinda again. I am certain that her career is going to be so fantastic.

Contemplating some things that have happened these few days. Sunday, i went to service with Benjamin. Oh my goodness, Pastor Christie message is so clear cut and direct. She rebuked the general mistake committed by the Filipino without any reservation. I also like one of the thing she mentioned.

"If you have no money in Christmas, don't show off and borrow money from people to buy Christmas presents for your friends. Not only will you land yourself in debts, the people that receive your present might not even remember you."

It is so true. Think about it, does God really want us to be so giving to the point that we are the losing end? Where is the wisdom? You can argue the point that you are trying to sow, trying to evangelise. But, is it an effective way? Are people touched by merely presents? Obviously not.

For me myself, i personally hated gifts, i prefer sincerely written cards. I find gifts to be too impractical and so not sincere.

Yeah, thats about it folks. Later i will be going for mooncake celebration. I pray it will be a fruitful time of bonding.

Today is one of the best day i have ever lived in my whole life! Weird to say this since i have barely even lived through one quarter of the day.

This morning, after i have woken up, i couldn't find my spectacles! Arh! You can imagine how i strain my eyes when i am updating this blog. Haha. Aside from that, we have a brilliant caregroup yesterday. Even new believer enjoys it. Praise God. Many thanks to Thomas, Chris, Khok Yen and Benjamin for being part of the team to make this group lively.

This has to be one of the most interesting caregroup ever since Andrew started to lead this group. In the past, NYP 7 are made up of not so interesting people like me. So, people tend to see this group as boring and mundane. The bonds within the caregroup isn't so strong. People form clicks and wander around, indulging in their own small talks and activities, this time, i can really see God delivers us victoriously through it.

I must say God is really faithful that God is really faithful all this while to see me through many kind of happenings in my life. I thank God for my buddy Xing Xing who gives me the most practical help ever, and his presence in my life, his smile and laughter encourages me to go on. I thank God also for my ex-shepherd Andrew who has laid a very strong foundation in me, that now, even in the midst of struggles, i am still able to stand firm. Now, they are of a different group, sort of miss them, but i know we will see each other and spend time together again as one big family at the finishing line. Let's persevere and see it coming to pass.
